Snowball offers two different pickup patterns to suit a variety of applications. Switch between cardioid and omni modes to get the best sound for any recording situation.

Cardioid Mode

Perfect for podcasts with a single host, game streaming, vocal performances, voiceovers and more. Cardioid mode records sound sources that are in front of the microphone for rich, full-bodied sound.

Omnidirectional

Record or stream sound equally from all around the mic. Omnidirectional mode is best used in situations when you want to have a conference call with multiple people, or a multi-person interview.
